Automatic Remote Watering System

We made an easy-to-build and cheap automatic watering system, one that can be controlled through your phone and automatically activate depending on enviornmental conditions. Make your garden water-efficient and get current information anywhere.

IOT Irrigation system

We engineered a way to completely remotely and automatically control your garden. At any time, anywhere, you have insight into the conditions of your enviornment. You can control automatic watering, at intervals or at moisture levels, giving you precise control with ease.

Implementation

Rostella needs access to a 12V DC power and a stable Wi-Fi connection to operate, and can be connected to a 12V solenoid valves to control and irrigate a garden. Soil moisture sensors can also be used to water accordingly.

Sizing

Our V4 unit measures at 4.5" x 2.8" x 1.8"
The exterior is connected on the front and back with screws, and the surrounding sides are connected with 'acrylic glue', fusing them to one another.

Open Source

Everything from the materials, software, and displays can change case by case.
One can easily change how the device functions, from a easy-to-access database or through chip software.

Materials

The external casing of the unit is made completely of transparent acryllic, also known as Plexiglass. The assembly of the unit is relatively inexpensive and is made to be durable and suitable for a weathered setting to an extent.

Using a well-designed framework, the thresholds for automatic watering are easily controllable, anywhere, at any time, instantly.

Version 4

Rostella has had many revisions, and Version 4 brings the smallest, most production-ready unit to life. A complete list of materials, components, and blueprints can be requested, or we can build it for you.

How it works

Our system is a two-way communication device, connecting the device to send constant information and updates through Wi-Fi, all to a database that is unique to your device. With this constant updating, you can change many specifics about watering patterns and conditions, and also have updates on conditions at all times, from anywhere.
